Join us on Tuesday, May 24 from 12-1:15pm for virtual presentation on the history and current status of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA).

The event will begin with a screening of the 30-minute documentary Legalize Equality, which discusses legal and economic reasons why completing ERA ratification is critical today, more than ever. Following the screening, the Co-Presidents of the ERA-NC Alliance, Lori Bunton and Jimmie Cochran Pratt, will provide an update on the status of the ERA nationally and in North Carolina, including a project currently underway to review North Carolina laws potentially impacted by the ERA.

NCAWA's first Resolution adopted in 1978 was to support ratification of the ERA, and we are thrilled to partner with the ERA-NC Alliance to bring you this event!
