The National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL) will host its 2020 Annual Meeting as a virtual conference on July 15 and 16. This year’s event is centered around the theme of “legacy.” A century ago, NAWL members played an active role in getting the 19th Amendment ratified, and this year’s annual meeting program will examine the legacy left by those activists, as well as other NAWL members and women lawyers who continued the fight for women’s equality under the law, including the Equal Rights Amendment and equal pay. The conference will also look to the future, and the legacy that we will leave to the next generation of Americans, attorneys, and women.
